Intent
Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- Create a complex frame that juxtaposes the gaze of the restaurant patrons with the decorative bust.
- What worked:
- Waiting for all three patrons to make eye contact before shooting the image and framing each subject within their own vertical frame delineated by the fairy lights hanging down in the foreground.
- What I'd do differently:
- I would have taken a step to my right so the gaze of the bust was more directly at the lens and consistent with the gaze of the patrons.
