Two of our most popular assignments have been The Colour RED, so let's shift to BLUE for this one (it also came very close to winning the last vote we held).
How can you use blue within your photograph? It can be the dominant element as a colour wash throughout the frame. It can be a small, powerful detail that ties the image together. Blue is everywhere, so it shouldn't be too hard to find. Maybe use this assignment as an excuse to take a trip to the seaside, an airshow, or Morocco's famous "Blue City".
This assignment is guest-edited by our friend Niall McDiarmid, a wonderful photographer, whose creative use of colour is on show in his new book available from RRB Books.
