Intent
Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- This was taken in the so-called Thieves Market in Mumbai. An historic hub of commerce, with many traders operating straight out the back of their trucks. Some legit, some not. I was trying to capture traders close up and also the wider energy of the place. I like this shot mainly because of the main character, who looks like he has lived and breathed this place for many a year, and could be thinking a million different things. I also like how he is framed and the symmetry with trader in background.
