Intent
Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- Was unaware of the 'blue' assignment at this point, but on a sweltering day in Scarborough earlier this month I found the 'coolest' spot in town, both in respite from the heat, and in terms of the colour temperature. I wanted to show that, with the tiled floors and unused deck chairs, with repetition also being a theme.
- What worked:
- The calmness, I hope (the town was insanely busy and beach like never before)
- What I'd do differently:
- If I'd been inside, rather than shooting through glass, the image may have more clarity, as well as being able to find a better point from which to frame.
