What I was trying to do:
Friday Morning after a tough week at work and a long nightshift. The desire to go home and sleep, missing this soothing early morning light, passed as I cycled in search of Blue. I knew the local paddling pool was Ripon's equivalent to the Blue Lagoon. More to do with its collection of lusty teenagers than a tropical paradise. I wanted to see what reflections could been seen in the Blue pool and this breathless start to the day. An idea of finding the bucolic village/town/City within the contemporary coloured vibrant, almost artificial blue of the paddling pool water spike my interest and woke my sleepy head. The mirroring reflection and equally mirrored blue of the cloudless sky. The uneasy sensation created by a unequal balance of the rule of thirds alone side the upside down artificial horizon of the pool edge and empty space seam to add a taste of intrigue, or just messes with the eye. Or just express how sleep deprived by brain is!
What worked:
I really enjoy the vivid blue on blue with the hint of green in the colour pallet. I think the bench pools you in and helps correct the perspective.
What I'd do differently:
I would have liked to has cropped the black bin out on the right hand side of the bench.

The TV aerials look like dragonflies on the water. Good hues...

Fantastic observational skills. I can’t help but see the dragon flys every time I look at it now. Thanks for looking.
