Intent
Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- I wanted to capture this simultaneously busy and quite scene of the parking lot behind a restaurant, one of the kitchen staff taking a break on a small crate. I loved the multiple shades of blue here - the car, dumpster, sign, paint on the concrete, and the sky; they work wonderfully with the interspersed splashes of yellow from the sign post and the plastic containers. It's a scene that at first glance may feel a little confusing or busy but after a moment there is a structure and calmness to it that I love. Shot on a Fuji X-T1 with a TTArtisan 25mm f/2.0 manual lens.
