Intent

Behind the frame

What I was trying to do:: This is a construction site in Los Angeles that I had been observing, and generally this curtain remained closed, but on this day it appeared to be opening in a theatrical way revealing the players behind the curtain. The Yves-Klein blue of the curtain is striking and seems to be asking us to look at the hidden workforces operating behind the scenes. If you look closely you can see other workers in high visibility vests through the fabric of the curtain. This is part of a larger body of work that I've been working on.
