Rainy Day, out shopping with my daughter June and when we go to cross the street an elderly woman is just ahead of us wearing the same shade jacket as my daughter who was wearing it for the first time in the rain. We paused and just shared a moment looking at this person. I remember getting my scans and thinking wow here's a little 2yr old at the beginning of life seeing a person, at a very different part of life, doing and wearing the same thing. In the moment I quickly composed and snapped a pic with the only goal being both in frame. The crosswalk feels like more than a crosswalk. It feels like a visual representation of what lay behind for the older woman and what lay ahead for my little girl. It was like a time machine moment. anyways I like how it's basically a monochrome picture with just their jackets sharing the only color, blue.

What worked:
Rainy day film exposure is never easy on the fly so yay. I love the askew tilt to the camera, embracing the Winogrand vibes.
What I'd do differently:
As with many rain shot's I'd love to be able to see the rain. Maybe if it had been a bit more underexposed it would look like a big dark void in the background, but idk if it being a bit more morbid would really be pleasant XD
