Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- My last night in Osaka, I wanted to shoot through those plastic umbrellas and get that shot everyone tries to in Japan, to be fair I couldn't pull it off the entire trip until this last night I was a bit inebriated stumbling back to my hotel during a rainy downpour. I had my Ricoh GR10 loaded up with some Cinestill 800T and I didn't think twice.
- What worked:
- The weather finally forced the situation I wanted, and having a bit of liquid courage in me to not care so much about being timid in a new country.
- What I'd do differently:
- I guess be a bit more brave (nuanced of course) and double down on asking for forgiveness vs permission
