- What I was trying to do:
- Walking through Zoshigaya, Tokyo late at night I came across a bridge with a view down to some roadworks. The site had an amazing soft box light giving the workers a certain drama drama and presence. I had an anamorphic lens to give it a cinematic, almost science fiction feel. I guess many people have that reaction to Japan's futurism. They often have a veil over the places where this future is built. This was the city saying that it wanted this story to be told.
