For this assignment, focus on taking street photos specifically at golden and blue hour.
During golden hour, explore your neighbourhood or city as the low-angle evening light casts long shadows across the street. Look for ways the warm light interacts with urban elements: people crossing streets, light reflecting off windows, harsh shadows between the buildings. Think about how to take a photo that is illuminated by the low angle and warm hues of the evening sun.
As golden hour becomes blue hour, capture the shift in atmosphere as artificial light takes over. Think about how to balance the contrast in the warm artificial light, and the natural blue tones of the sky and the shadows.
This assignment encourages you to see how golden and blue hour lighting can impact the composition of your street photographs and how these times of day can alter the mood of the image.
