Leica cla
Hey guys! Just wondering who everyone uses to get a film Leica CLA'd in the UK. Specifically a leicaflex SL and a M4. I don't want to send them to Leica itself as the wait times are insane so any good UK based technicians would be great!
I used Aperture to replace a jammed shutter curtain on my m4. Cost a small fortune but it's been flawless ever since. They also kindly fixed a busted external viewfinder for no extra charge. I also used Cameraworks to replace the lugs and fix the flash port - they were very good too and I think I'd try them for a CLA quote before Aperture next time, might be a bit lower price.
I used Cameraworks and they were very good
Camera works are good, I had them replaced the framelines in an M5 but it took a while, aperture have a quick turnaround but more expensive. There is also PPP but he is usually pretty backed up too
Aperture in London. Very good and quick ish turnaround.
What do Aperture charge for a CLA?
I got a quote back for £240 for my M4 and 300+ for Leicaflex SL
