Does anyone have experience using the Leica 28mm
I've been looking for something wide for those times when I walk through small festivals and parades.
28mm os a fantastic foco lenght in my opinion, I have used something different for festivals and parades that I personally find amazing 21mm it gives you an incredible zone focusing
I imagine that with the 21mm, you can set it and forget it and use it like a point-and-shoot.

28mm is really all I use. It's a tough lens, as it may seem flat at times. You really need to be close to subjects, or layer, to get the most out of it for street. Once you understand how it works well, and under what conditions, you'll love it.
Controversial take in the street community - but with a high megapixel camera, 28mm can provide some great opportunities for cropping.
In all, it's my favourite focal length. I use a 28mm Summicron as my main lens, and a Q3 28. Check out my gallery, 90% were shot on it, while my film photos are all on a 35mm lens (as I'm more patient and purposeful with film)
The vintage 28mm elmarit is great value if you want Leica, if not the voigtlander 28 Ultron is hard to beat
I only have one lens for my Leica m11 atm as I’m new to it. It’s the Voigtlander 28mm Ultron.
I really like it, does the job but saying that I had the Q3 before and definitely feel and see the difference in the files. I think it’s a great budget option but wish to have a Leica 28mm. The elmarit seems like a good one and probably will change to that soon.
I use the 28mm Summicron almost all the time. It’s an excellent lens for street photography. It encourages you to get closer to your subject while still leaving enough room to capture the surrounding atmosphere.
It's the only one I have. Love it.
