Introduction
I haven't introduced myself ye; I studied photography at the London College of Printing - now the London College of Communication - 1975-78, spent some time freelancing and assisting, musicians, editorial portraits mostly, before becoming involved in 3D computer animation. Worked for a good number of years making commercials, TV titles & animated graphics, digital VFX for movies. Set up an animation and post-production company, sold it and eventually retired quite early about 20 years ago. I started taking photographs to scratch a creative itch. I'l point a camera at anything that will make a decent photograph which mostly these days is street photography. I've picked up a few of awards, Lensculture Critics’ Choice 2022, shortlisted for the Royal Photographic Society International Exhibition 2023 and a couple of others and I've exhibited a few times down here in the UK, currently negotiating space for my most recent project Tiddly Om Pom Pom, a series of photographs of people and their beach huts in Paignton, Devon. For variety I also play drums in a couple of local bands. My website is www.aldis.co.uk.

LCP sounded much better than LCC does, did you spend time at Back hill?
Good to see, Brian Griffin, on your list of photographers. His work with Depeche Mode, at Management Today, and his lighting techniques are fondly remembered by me.
