Fan Ho Inspired
Looking through some members inspiration, I've been having a look at some photographers I hadn't previously known much about. I've been quite taken by the work of Fan Ho. With that in mind, I went on a couple of walks with my camera set up to try and emulate the great man. Not up to the dizzy heights of his quality of work but it's been great fun having a go.
Fan Ho, and his post processing in the dark room, will certainly concentrate the minds eye when having a day out shooting with him as an inspiration. The sixth image is my favourite from your sequence, its also a good reference for lighting portraits (16x9 crop there too). Enjoy the rest of your weekend, Mike.
Thanks Colin. It certainly helped to focus and hunt for light. Typically, after months of bright sun, the days I was out was very hit and miss as the sun was in and out like a yoyo. Fan was apparently known for some aggressive cropping. Have a great rest of the weekend.
