Still enjoying photography!
I am so pleased to have found this group. It’s really good to see the way its presentation has evolved and improved since I joined at the beginning of this year. It is heartwarming to me that the ethos behind everything is membership based without intrusive advertising. Photography has been a lifelong passion for me and apart from a wonderful period working professionally I have always been an enthusiastic amateur at heart. Candid / street photography has always fascinated me right from my early years through to this day. I spent a few years living by the coast where I used to shoot film ( mainly slide transparencies ). I’m drawn back there again inspired by the work of Josh with his beautiful creative colour renditions. So I felt it was time to introduce myself and show some of my photography from across the years, beginning with some really old work, followed by a favourite wedding image, plus some images from more recent shoots. Modern street photography is a new adventure for me and I am still learning from everyone’s work. Today’s younger photographers who have grown up with digital produce some amazing work unfettered by all the rules and processes involved in traditional analogue photography and it is wonderful to see the variety of visual expression, film and digital on this platform. Long may it continue.
