Anyone use settings to extend Dynamic Range
On canon there is highlight tone priority, it sets your lowest ISO to 200 instead of 100 and seems to protect the highlights more in images by extending the dynamic range. I need to do a test with it off an on but on a few images I have taken it's done well at protecting highlights. Note sure if it's the same but other brands have this, but this could be highlight metering which is different? Fuji = D-Range Priority (or DR-P). Nikon = Active D-Lighting
I use the fujiiflm dynamic range boost all the time and it works amazingly well, has saved me some ruined shots many many times.
Using D200 or D400 on Fuji all the time, I love this feature and it works well.

@spicy.meatball made a great video about dynamic range on the Fuji, but I forget which one it was.
There’s a good YouTube from pal2tech on this. I have been looking at how to shoot my Q3 to try and achieve the same manually i.e. underexpose 2 stops or just use highlight metering and pull the shadows back but I’m pretty sure Fuji apply their own magic sauce to the raws as well as jpegs so it doesn’t seem straight forward.
