Lightroom generating AI videos now from photos
https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/lightroom-cc/using/generate-videos-from-images.html Would love to hear everyone's thoughts on this. Personally I'm not a fan, but I understand that this is just a consequence of the times we're living today.
I really don't see the use case for this. It's one thing for a feature like this to be a novelty on a phone, but building this kind of crap into Lightroom is just another reason for me to drop my Creative Cloud subscription.
It also seems like such an insane copyright/usage issue. If someone generates a video from a photo I've taken and sells the video. Do I have any legal recourse?
started looking into VSCO but I worry they may also add a load of AI nonsense.
Pro editing but no RAWS? Think the highlight and shadow sliders are behind an expensive pay wall. But this is just whispers on the socials so I don't actually know

In general I don't hate on AI in art, it has it's own genre and if the consumers of said "art" enjoy that type of "art", well that's up to them right?
But what I can't seem to understand is its uses in a photography app.
It feels like a tool for videography if anything, however, for it to exist in the first place it must have a certain demand right?
I guess the use case would be a location shoot where you don’t have to take a whole team and cases of equipment to film. You could simply go with a single camera, shoot what you like then output some ‘b-roll’ footage from your imagery allowing you to hit multiple locations in a shorter amount of time.
omg what is the point. AI is becoming the plastic waste of the digital world. Like when we discovered plastic and we made everything out of it until it started clogging up beaches and waterways. AI vids are the same, they just take up space in the digital ether. So yeah, not a big fan I am afraid!
Honestly… who asked for this? They should stop cramming nonsense features and focus on performance improvements and other stuff the pro users actually care.
