Hey all, Don Roedner here. I'm retired, in Austin TX. I was obsessed with street photography in the 20th century, and then life intervened. At this point I have the time and money to rekindle the fire. I found this site and am inspired...
Excellent Welcome Don! Thank you for joining, take a look around and any questions give myself or @heroesforsale a shout
Hi Don, would love to see what you captured
Lloyd, I wish I could share. I was still shooting film before my hiatus. I do have an enormous collection of 35mm negatives, but I don’t suppose that’s what you were looking for…
I only shoot film. Be good to see some scans if possible, no worries if not
Howdy from another Texan!
Howdy to you Ryan. Whereabouts are you?
San Antonio
Hey Don, I’m in San Antonio. Was in Austin today checking out Obi, your new photo book store. Really nice, you should go visit. They just opened.
Welcome! One of my favorite street photography outings is at SXSW. I try and go every year. I’m in Houston so it’s a short drive.
Also we are getting enough Texans up in here that we may need to try for a meetup of the Texas chapter of Framelines!
Welcome Don. I lived in South Austin for many many years before moving to Chicago last year. You’d do well to check out Obi as @thechadmiller has already mentioned - I’ve heard friends raving about it.
Also worth checking out Austin Photo Night’s instagram page, Livra Books (great book store), and the Magnum Photos archive at the Harry Ransom Center at UT (yes, the magnum photos film archive is located in Austin! Thanks Michael Dell)
