A couple from the last night at the fair. Having it in town for a week has been an education. I’ve discovered that too high a shutter speed strips out a lot of the feeling. About 1000-2000th with a bit of pre focus on where the action happens and some judicious panning seems to give the look I’m after. Maybe if I was better at panning I could go slower and stop down a little. It’s all a balance. At least knowing what really doesn’t work is useful.
Thanks. I really wasn't sure about it - so partly posted here for a bit of feedback.. The first one I like because it's universal in feeling and could have been shot at any time over the past 50 years.
