Intent
Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- This month's 'Familiar' theme is totally apposite for me - I've been shooting my local area, a coastal suburb of Sydney, for years. This month, I came across a scene that is emblematic of my years-long project, so here it is!
- What worked:
- I like the contrast of the boys' hats against the dominant blues and greens, and their postures, engaged in the moment.
- What I'd do differently:
- It's tricky to capture fishermen's' faces when we're all looking at the water...
