Intent
Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- Luna Park is a heavily photographed landmark and tourist hotspot in Sydney but I tried to capture it in the context of my regular commute, from inside a ferry.
- What worked:
- Framing the facade through the window geometry with a wide lens plays down the importance of it, and it becomes just an element in the frame.. The contrast between the bright, playful landmark outside and the dark, quiet, utilitarian seats inside really captured the rhythm of travelling home.
- What I'd do differently:
- I'd like to leave a bit earlier when the ferry is more crowded as I think it could be improved with a human element in one of the closer seats.
