Intent
Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- While wandering through the vibrant port and fish market of Essaouira, Morocco, I came across this man tending to one of the town's renowned blue fishing boats. Carefully bringing it back to life, he was preparing it to rejoin the countless boats that head out to sea each day, returning with fish hauls that keep this coastal town buzzing with life and energy. For this composition, I used the surrounding boats to frame the scene and guide the viewer's eye towards the man and the upturned boat. I wanted to highlight the often-unseen work that makes each day's voyage possible.
