Intent
Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- The woman alone, deep in thought. She is reflective, her aloneness amplified by her gaze out onto the street. I’m trying to show that ‘blue’ can be more than a colour alone, but can represent a mood.
- What worked:
- The ‘paleness’ of the blue in her clothing works for me because it describes fading youth and the paradox of growing old.
- What I'd do differently:
- I would have preferred space between her and the man reflected in the window. Perhaps it could have helped better convey the feeling of isolation?
