Intent
Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- I like the dichotomy of the freedom you might feel while swimming and being suspended so high, although it really gives new meaning to floating, in the water and the sky. This may be better suited to a "Look Up(!)" assignment but that is something I always remind myself to do during photowalks and during one of two days I spent on pre-planned photowalks in London last weekend I stopped briefly at this location, not long enough to fish (however appropriate that term might be to this location!) - but long enough to grab a few frames.
- What worked:
- I got relatively lucky with the clear sky, even if the light was a bit harsh, especially given I was there for just a few minutes during a 10-plus mile walk.
- What I'd do differently:
- Obviously spending longer at the location would likely have got more conventional swimming shapes but I was also mindful that some of the swimmers could be children, which made me slightly uncomfortable with the swimmers being more visible in the image(s).
