Hey everybody,
So we were out in London over the weekend, and the sun got very low very early and we were treated to some beautiful golden hour light. It's been exactly 12 months since our last golden/blue hour assignment and we have a lot of new members since then, so lets give it another try.
What do we want to see?
We want people to go out and take a photograph that focuses on these times of day and how to use these different lighting conditions. Embrace the shift in atmosphere, embrace the warm glow, look for shadows, reflections, the way buildings and people are illuminated.
As the day slips into blue hour, think about balancing the blue tones with artificial lights, and how you can generally create mood and atmosphere in your frame. This assignment is about noticing how this time of day alters the mood and feel of a street photograph.
Where do I look for inspiration?
