For this assignment, we want to see a street or documentary photograph that captures some form of urban critter. Think of the animals we often encounter in the city—like pigeons, foxes, cats, dogs, squirrells or maybe even herons or horses?
You could also include an image of an animal… from an advertising poster or hoarding. This assignment is all about showcasing the intersection of city life and the natural world 🐶
Tips for the assignment:
Play with context - think about how to juxtapose the animals with humans and the city
Experiment with perspective - get low to the ground and experiment with the animal’s eye view
Be patient - animals often repeat their behavior so if you miss a shot, it often pays off to wait around..
