End of the Summer
How are people tackling the Autumn / Winter months? I just moved fairly near to a nature reserve so thinking about doing some early photowalks with maybe some kind of GFX potentially...
I think I need to embrace one handed shooting under an umbrella. Having said that, I'm in London on Monday and Tuesday and it looks like summer is coming back for a few days judging by the forecast.

I had a brief phase of trying to shoot with a manual focus lens whilst carrying an umbrella, absolute nightmare.
Yeah, you'd need to pick a focus zone and closed aperture and just stick to it I guess. Why are you thinking of going GFX for Autumn/Winter... anything in particular about it?
Just because it will be a bit slower I guess.... more vibes...?!
We don't have winter here but monsoon season has started, maybe I'll get some waders and see just how weatherproof the Q3 is
Ongoing illness has prevented me from going out much since the last assignment, grrrrr. I submitted an image from last year in the meantime. However, my Nikon FE is loaded with XP-2 if things improve. The last month of autumn, as it merges into the first month of winter, is a favourite time of year for me to be out taking images. I like the change of mood in people during those seasons. Cheers.
It’s opposite here in Texas. Haven’t been shooting much it’s just too hot. Can’t wait for some clouds and temps that won’t kill me.
I don't really have a specific project in mind. I want to keep enjoying photography and trying to improve as a street photographer. I live in a place where the seasons aren't very distinct; there’s hardly any winter, and autumn is just an extension of summer. Still, I’ll probably make a few trips to the mountains, which aren't too far away. That’s where I can photograph autumn and winter. Oh, and I’m also thinking about potentially spending a photography weekend in London or Stockholm.

Bangers and as many people diving into water that I can find.
To be clear - bangers as in car racing, not necessarily ‘bangers’ but that would be great.

Haven’t taken a single photo since the end of August. It’s doing my head in. I have 4 film cameras with half a roll left in each and can’t remember which film is in what. It’s chaos I tell you!!!!
Meant to post something about shooting in winter @spicy.meatball, also curious how people here generally feel about shooting in colder, wetter and grayer climes and feeling inspired when the weather turns. Any tricks, ideas or general thoughts? I've seen some incredible photography shot in the dead of winter. Personally I've become a bit of a slave to only walking around on days with great light and warmer temps. Any tips or insights are welcome!! : )
Even though @spicy.meatball hates it ;-) I love the shorter days because it means more time for night photography!
Feels like the constraints force you to be more creative, which always keeps me inspired to try out new techniques.
Same been thinking what weather proofing or winter camera can use. Been shooting back on my M240 for summer. Like you not keen on manual lens with umbrella ☔️
I embrace the flatter light from autumn/winter as it gives me a blank canvas to work with when editing. Cloudy skies can always look dramatic in B&W. Sunsets at 4pm is quite rubbish although this could be an opportunity to get some golden hour between 3pm and 4pm.
