Book Recommends?
Anyone got any new book recommendations? I just picked up Janet Delaney’s latest where she tagged along with her dad doing the rounds as a travelling salesman in 1980. #photobooks
that looks great - I've been meaning to pick it up and get in touch with Janet to see if she'd talk about it with us.
Coincidentally she was in London just the other week. Annoyingly I wasn't free to go see her prints at Photo London.
The book is bound really nicely. Hardback but with a soft spine.
What a cool project. Shadowing a traveling salesman is a great idea on its own, the fact that it’s her dad makes it so personal and touching. Will have to pick this up soon
I just picked up a copy of Harry Callahan’s monograph and I feel like it’s one of the first minimalist b/w bodies of work that has really resonated with me. Been trying to learn more about Chicago’s photography history since moving here a year ago

I haven’t picked it up yet (am going to this weekend), but saw it in my local shop: “Billions Served” by Richard Renaldi.

For anyone with kids who think your hobby is weird: this is a great one by Meyerowitz: a selection of classics with a brief and engaging analysis for each image. I loved going through it with my son.
Sophie Green's Tangerine Dreams has just arrived. Excited for this afternoon missing out on the first edition. She had an upcoming exhibition at the Martin Parr Foundation

I stumbled upon this book years ago in a used book shop. While I don't understand the text, the images are wonderful! Definitely worth keeping an eye out for it.
