Trying to stay engaged with my photography. So I’ve decided to shoot with a recipe called key line and than make some adjustments in the apple photos app. Anyone else shooting with custom recipes?
This looks lovely Gennaro, I have one dialed into my camera which is fairly close to my final raw output, very handy to be able to see in real time what the final result will be.
I'm using Roman Fox's recipe (he published it a couple of years ago, and it's based on Nostalgic Neg). I find it works well for many photos straight-out-of-camera.

Off the top of my head I can't remember which photos I've taken are fully SOOC or were tweaked from RAW. However, I can link to Roman's blog post about it where there are some nice examples:

I just do classic chrome with +3 color and the chrome stuff on and -1 highlights. Auto white balance with no tweaks usually. Pretty solid base but I still edit everything

Yeah, I found something Portra-ish looking based on Classic Chrome, which almost always works for me as a baseline and allows to use jpegs/heif if I need to share something quick. It became especially useful with introduction of heif in xh2s, cause it’s surprisingly flexible files.
I did initially start using a few recipes from Fujixweekly who seems to have the largest database online, but I stopped after a while as I'd find the recipes were causing me to mess up the exposure a bit too often for the RAWs. I ended up sticking with the Acros B&W simulation as it handles tonality really nicely.
shooting black and white is the move!
I use a custom classic chrome recipe with some adjustment in color, WB & highlights.
I really enjoy the look of the recipe and even if I try to edit my RAW to lean into this look, I can't even get close.
So I decided to shoot JPEG only.
