Behind Glass

“Incredible use of layers, depth and contrast Seb, really immersive photograph.” — Josh

“Incredibly cinematic shot Laura - beautifully composed and excellent colour treatment” — Josh

“One of my favourites for mood and mystery. I really like the green tone with splashes of red.” — Shane

“Really nicely done Jo, very creative street portrait.” — Josh

“The use of reflection to include yourself in the scene on top of a great composition through the doors is wonderful. The light and texture of the underground really come through in your processing too.” — Shane

“I really like that you managed to capture such a tender moment for this assignment. Beautifully composed, perfectly timed and gently observed.” — Shane

“Great colours, great humour, the dogs expression - chef's kiss.” — Josh

“This is one of the most unique takes on the assignment, because the glass is barely visible, and that works in the image's favour. At first I thought it was a man holding something aloft in the style of a propaganda poster. Made me look twice.” — Shane

“It's very difficult to get a shot like this that aligns so perfectly. Love the colour palette and colour matching. The differening textures on the windows. The sub-framing. Great shot, Tom. -Shane Very pleasing compositional choice here Tom, nicely done, love the colours too” — Josh

“Great use of layers, depth, and colour to bring it all together into something mysterious.” — Shane

“You really nailed the brief here, Brian. Love the typography + small, perfectly framed scene through glass.” — Shane

“Really well done Felix, looks like an album cover.” — Josh

“This is a beautiful slice of life Juno. The contrast between the child gazing at the sunset and the adult on the phone is very poignant. -Shane All about that warm sunset vs the cold blue plastic seats, love it” — Josh

“So much to take in here, it all works so well, amazing colour treatment too.” — Josh

“Incredible explosion of colour and detail- lots of elements to pick out here, like the reflections in the car mirrors.” — Shane

“Really great job capturing his expression in the middle of a complex, layered scene. I know you mentioned it'd be nice if there was something in the background but i think just seeing the traffic and the writing layered on top is enough.” — Shane
