Poor man's Q3
Snagged an 18 1.4 for very cheap, and got myself a poor man's Q3 😂 almost the exact size and depth as the Q3 with the lens hood and only a tiny bit heavier. Will be putting it through the paces this weekend.
I’d love to see a side by side comparison of these. That 18 1.4 is a hell of a lens
But the Q3 doesn't have a film simulation dial 🤮
It’s such a great lens - owned one for a bit, super nice for environmental portraits

Yeah it's great, but I'm realizing I don't like anything wider than 35mm FF equiv. I don't mind getting close but with this you really gotta get in there haha.
Replace it with the 23/1,4. I had the first non-wr version and it is a sublime lens. It even has the focus clutch for a great manual focus experience.
Photographer Mark Fearnley makes very good use of an 18mm lens on his Fujifilm.

If I didn't already have a Q2 I'd get a Fuji. Fuji and Ricoh have the best color (without film simulations). Plus you don't have to send Japanese cameras in for expensive repairs. ;-)
