Do you submit your assignment early or late...
I submitted early this month compared to late for *38 The Colour Blue as I'd joined near the deadline. Sometimes I've got an image early in the day while out shooting that I know is good and spent the rest of the day looking for another, but to no avail. However, I will look for more images during the rest of the month.
We get about 100 submissions close to the deadline :)
I notice its possible to change a submission up to the wire so even late on there is a chance to catch something that may fit the brief better or just be something I might be happier with.
I tend to submit a couple of days before the deadline. You just never know when you might get something better
