More from my Burnley project, this one needs a name. It’s not related to allotments or passionate hobbies. It’s just showing a deprived northern English town in 2026.
I particularly like “sorry and shy”
How are you approaching this - just trying to document the place, “without judgement”? Not sure what I’m trying to ask, except I’ve thought about doing a similar project, but stopped as I wasn’t sure what my intentions would be. 🤔
So my top choice is “Sorry, Burnley.” With the various implications that phrase has. Burnley could be apologising, I could be apologising for showing the worse parts of the town, it could be that we’ve let the town down, I could be apologising for showing how bad the town is almost embarrassed.
I was just noting which photo I liked, not recommending a project name 🙂
