Like an idiot I got the tube last night. I wanted to get a photo that told the story of the heatwave. This one almost gets there but I fear it doesn’t work on a small screen. I saw the fan (too obvious) then noticed the book cover and thought that would support it. I think it’s missing one other thing to make it work. Feedback welcome!
You get points for braving it in the first place Craig. I think that, if it's lacking anything, it would be an indication of just how hot it is. The lady with the book looks relatively cool for the circumstances. Someone perspiring in the foreground perhaps, looking a little stressed (as I would be if it were me down there). A giant thermometer that's about to boil in the background came to mind, but I expect they aren't so common 😅

I think the lady with the fan could sell the story of the heatwave if she was the focus.
Far too easy. I love to make it difficult for myself 😂
I like it. The discomfort comes across, and the title of the book tips the scales even more.
