Filling the frame
Heading out to hopefully get something new for the fill the frame assignment, with my (new to me) Fujifilm 18mm F2, first impressions is that its a pretty loud lens 😅
Yeah and the autofocus is also pretty bad imo. That said its a fun lens when focussing manually i find. Good luck shooting out there😁
I was actually pleasantly surprised, it is loud but didnt miss anything and was quick enough on the XE5
A nice! I use it on my xe3 and basically only use zonefocusing at f11. Maybe I’m biased. The camera i had before was a Sony a6100, the difference in focusing quality is really big.
Wow! Take my hat off to you Josh. As a relative street novice ( a couple of years) the thought of 18mm scares the crap out of me I could fit the whole of Sheffield city centre into that 😅

I went out today. Took 438 photos. Not one was suitable for this assignment. 🤣

Yeah, this assignment is stretching me. I usually focus on one subject so having multiple subjects and layers is stretching my newbie abilities. :-)
Question 🙋 Josh for filling the frame especially with a wide angle lens I find if you hold the camera to your eye it’s harder to get that immersive feel. Do you use the X-E5 screen waist level to get a little closer to the action?
I do a mix of both, I do often find it easier to work from a low angle though, means it's easier to get a clean backdrop...
