Join from £5/monthThere's something liberating about hand held, long exposure, it sort of removes responsibility. It's highly unpredictable, reliable on luck and trial and error but very expressive when it works. I rarely share technical details, it's usually pointless but I think it's relevant here. I used a 10 stop ND filter, opened the aperture right up to 2.8, ISO on auto, shutter was fairly random, 1/5, 1/8, 1/4 generally got the best results. All hand held, black & white working better than colour.
