Portrait Of A Brother Hood. Some plastic flowers, an old hoodie and my brother's eye. I so admire portrait photographers as it's something I always struggle to get right. All I have to do is look at Jane Bown's wonderful portraits and sit in wonder that someone was so brilliant at it.
It's what I sometimes shoot between assignments. Some of the other images on the dailies feed are also not 'street' photography but I like seeing how other photographers see their world and what surrounds them and how it may inform their street photography or approach it differently having shot other subject matter. Also, I'm inspired by wonderful photographers like Jane Bown.

Hi Brian.
The assignment *10 was portraits, and like some of the other assignments that have been repeated, I hope they choose to do portraits again and abstracts as well. Jane Bown knew how to take simple portraits, quickly, and efficiently mainly with the daylight that was available. Her image of, Samuel Beckett, will always be a favourite of mine. Enjoy the rest of your day.
I don't think this is something we are going to agree on, however, it is the differences between us that make life interesting. Have a good start to your week, Carl.
