Fujifilm XH2s
Hello everyone, I currently have a loaner of a Fujifilm XH2s from Fujifilm for a little bit as I want to make some more home movie style stuff. I will maybe also make a Framelines video about it... is this a camera anyone has considered or is considering and has any questions about maybe? Cheers!
I had one for a bit. Shot a wedding and a some events on it and paired it with an X-T4 for those. I bought it as it the best Fuji autofocus at the time but I ended up trading it for the X-T5 when that came out. It was complete overkill for what I needed it for but actually I really missed the smaller file sizes compared to the X-T5. I never used it for street stuff as I prefer smaller bodies for that. But as workhorse camera it’s a good pick I think.
yes the smaller file sizes are appreciated for sure
I do wonder whether animal tracking with the XH2s is better than the XT5. I’m eagerly waiting to see whether the continuous AF and subject tracking are improved for the X-T6 and XH3s. My success rate for tracking cats in motion with my XT5 has been only about 40-50%. The green AF box gives me too many false positives. Since wildlife doesn’t seem to be a priority for Fujifilm, I have a feeling I may have to move on to another brand for better animal tracking.
interesting, I would have thought it was the same software, cant say I have ever tried animal tracking mind you
I got tons of false positives with the X-T5 as well and not just on animal AF. I definitely didn’t have that issue with the XH2s; the AF was much more reliable.
